Christmas K-CupsI

Hey everyone! Did you have a good weekend? I wanted to share an item that I created after looking at all the great projects from other demonstrators and crafters. I saw a project for a K-cup holder from an svg file, and wanted to see if I could find something from Stampin' Up! that could be used. Well, I found it! Another demonstrator had made a goodie box using the new Tiny Treat Boxes in the Holiday Catalog and low and behold, those boxes are the perfect fit for K-cups!!
I took 2 of the boxes and glued them together with the backs facing each other. then I glued down the inside flaps.
I didn't want it to be one-sided, so I decorated it on all sides.
I punched a hole in the lids to add the bow.

I really like how it turned out.The ribbon and the bling just turned out so cute and even match the paper, as well as the snow flake stamp from the Cheerful Tags stamp set. These little boxes almost look like mini drink carry out boxes!! So cute!!

Well, I hope you like my gift box project. It was fun to make and I know I'll be making more for all my friends that have Keurigs!! I hope you have a great evening, and I thank you for stopping by.

Supplies used:

Tiny Treat Boxes
All is Calm Designer Series Paper
Whisper White card stock for the tag
Stamp sets: Cheerful Tags and Num-Num
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Silver Metallic Encore
Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon and Silver 1/8" ribbon

CCM320 - Color Challenge

Hey everyone! How's your weekend going so far? I've been working in my room today getting ready for some classes and thought I'd create a card for the color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.
I really like all three of these colors, I think they compliment each other so well. Lost Lagoon has to be my favorite of this year's in colors.
So with the Pear Pizzazz in mind, I thought it was perfect to create a Christmas card. Granted, these aren't your usual Christmas colors, but I like the change.
I carried the patterns into the inside of the card. As you can see, I really like to layer my cards. I just think it adds so much color and interest.

I like how this card turned out. May just have to use it in a class! ;) I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I thank you for stopping by.

13 Years Later....We Will NEVER Forget!!

Hey everyone. Just a short post with a card I made a few years ago. It's one in remembrance of that fateful day. My thoughts and prayers are with the family members who lost someone. I don't think there's anyone that wasn't touched by that day.

I hope you take a moment out of your busy day to honor everyone that was touched by that day.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a good day.

CCM319

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!! So did you notice the new button on my blog? Yep, I was chosen as a Top 3 Pick over at Create with Connie and Mary for my entry last week. How cool is that? Thank you for choosing me, that was so nice!! I haven't been the most posting of bloggers lately, so that is a real incentive to get back at it! With that in mind, I am entering in their challenge again this week.  :)

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. LOVE sketch challenges!! It is definitely half the battle of creating a card. I also wanted to show the inside of the card. So many times I see great cards and I would love to see what they do on the inside.

I really like how it all turned out, and I hope you do too. If you get a chance, head over there and check out their challenge. Have a great rest of your weekend, and I thank you for stopping by.

You Can Never Have Too Much Happy!

Hey everyone! I took one extra day off from work to extend my weekend and what a nice day it's been! I could get really used to not working, but sadly it's too soon for retirement.  :(

So I wanted to share one of the cards I made for someone who asked me to make a stash of birthday cards. This is one of the times I can use up some of my retired stash and unused cut packs from my workshops. LOVE using up the stash!! lol
I just love the color combo yellow and any shade of blue, but navy is the best. So I created the card base with Night of Navy. The mat is Daffodil Delight and the DSP is from the retired set of Gingham Garden. That was one of my favorite patterned paper. So country and girly. I chose the sentiment from the Yippe Skippee stamp set and cut it out with a framelit from the Apothecary Framelit set. I then cut a second one in the Night of Navy to use as a shadow and then added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The ribbon is some retired Night of Navy 1/4" grosgrain. One of the best things about SU! products is that everything matches and you don't have to waste time looking for something to go with your project. The sentiment was also stamped in Night of Navy ink.
I followed the pattern to the inside of the card and created my sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes set. Such a fun font and it's a photopolymer set, which is my favorite type of stamp.

I hope you had a good start to your week after a holiday weekend. Mine will start tomorrow and I know it's going to be a busy one! Have a great week, and I thank you for stopping by.

Another Challenge Card

Happy Labor Day! Are you enjoying your Monday? I love Mondays that I don't have to work!! :) I had some time this morning while waiting for the kids to get here to go out on the lake, and while checking out some of the challenge blogs I came across this sketch challenge over at Fab Friday. I like sketch challenges since you don't have to think too much about the layout on the card. I literally made this card in about 15 minutes. Wish I could be that fast when creating my workshop samples!! lol
I saw this and immediately thought about the Tee Hee Hee stamp set that I just got in my demo order. I love Halloween and this stamp set is so cute, it brings out the little witch in all of us!
I used Basic Black for my card base, Whisper White for the mat and sentiment, Tango Tangerine and a strip from the Motley Monsters DSP. I added some Basick Black and Tango Tangerine chevron ribbon and Tango Tangerine bakers twine. I knew I had to add some bling, and what better than Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the bubbles.
I used the new Good Greetings Hostess stamp set for inside sentiment. LOVE this set!! Added the hat from the Tee Hee Hee set, and of course all witches need a little bling on their hats, so another rhinestone!!

Well, time to go start up dinner for everyone. I hope you have a good rest of your daBe sure to check out the other submissions for this challenge.

Color Challenge

Hey everyone! How is your Saturday going? I thought we'd be spending the day at the lake, but the kids had other things going. That's ok, I got to spend some time in my favorite place on Earth!! :) I haven't participated in any challenges in a long time, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I saw this color challenge over at Create With Connie and Mary.

This is a Stampin' Up! only challenge, meaning only SU! products can be used. The colors are Hello Honey, Pool Party, and Basic Gray. I used a combination of new and retired items on my card.
I used Pool Party card stock for my card base, Hello Honey DSP, Whisper White, and Basic Gray card stock. I heat embossed the Flowering Flourishes stamp with Pool Party embossing powder. Using the Basic Gray and embossing powder almost gives it a chalk board effect.  I then used the Boho Blossoms punch and a retired Itty Bitty flower punch to add some Pool Party and Hello Honey flowers for dimension. I used Pearl Basic Jewels for the centers, the large one on the bottom flower is retired. I added the bow made with the Whisper White 5/8" satin ribbon. These aren't a combination of colors I would have thought of, but they work!

Well, hope you have a great rest of your weekend. Stay safe, enjoy your family and friends, and I thank you for stopping by.

Holiday Catalog Launch FunI

Hey everyone! Happy Labor Day Weekend!! Can you believe that it's the end of the summer already? Unbelievable!! Are you doing something fun for your last weekend of summer? All my kids are in town and we're planning on hitting the lake. Looking forward to just relaxing! I'm not sure I know what that is though. lol

I wanted to share the cards and tags we made last weekend to celebrate the launch of the new Holiday Catalog that went live yesterday. The ladies had a blast. I did pair up a couple of retired items with these, but that just shows that even if an item expires, something will come out to compliment it.

I have fallen absolutely in love with all the products in this catalog. And I just knew that the new in colors this year would be perfect for all the fall items. I am super excited to share even more items as time goes by.

I hope you have a happy and safe Labor Day Weekend and get to spend some time relaxing with family and friends. Thank you for stopping by.

Last Tuesday of July

Hey everyone! Can you believe we are in the last week of July? Wow, this summer is flying by!! But when I walk outside and it's 103 degrees with 30% humidity, I'm glad it is flying by!! lol

I wanted to share another card we made at our July Workshop. I wanted a Christmas in July card, so we used the sneak peek Christmas set, Beauty of the Season.
We stamped the Cherry Cobble card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink using one of the branch stamps. We stamped the cardinal image StazOn and the sentiment with Soft Suede on Whisper White card stock. We then used the Aqua Painters to wash the cardinal image and branch. The beak and legs were colored with the Hello Honey marker and dotted the eye with the white gel pen. You can't see in the picture, but we used some Dazzles on the branch to give it a frosty look. When everything dried, we mounted it on Mossy Meadow, added dimensionals and attached to the card. The ribbon is also Mossy Meadow. The ladies fell in love with this stamp set and were happy to be able to use a sneak peek set. Everyone is waiting, and not patiently either, lol, for the their copy of the new Holiday Catalog, which will go live August 28th. This is a beautiful catalog with TONS of really cute goodies!!  ;) You won't want to miss it, trust me on that.

Well, before I sign off, I wanted to remind everyone that there are some new weekly deals out today on Stampin' Up!'s website. You can order any of those items from my online store.

Thank you for stopping and I hope you have a good evening.

Let the Weekend Begin!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! Hope you had a good week. I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I REALLY need to make a better effort to post more consistently. Hopefully things will calm down so I can. First I wanted to show you one of the reasons I've been MIA...
Isn't he the cutest thing in diapers?? lol That's our Charlie and he's 2 months old now. I just want to spend all my time with my little grand baby. :) Although my office may have a problem with that! lol I have to tell you how blessed I feel having this little addition in our family. He is such a sweetheart. Now I understand why so many grandmas go on and on about their grandchildren...it's a definite side effect!!

I also wanted to share one of the cards from our July workshop.
During the month of July, Stampin' Up! has a promotion for the Designer Series Paper. When you but 3 packs you get the 4th one for free. This card shows 2 different pieces from the Sweet Taffy set. I love to make bright, cheery birthday cards and I think this fits the bill. Instead of using ink pads, we colored the stamp with the Stampin' Write Markers. The ladies had fun making it too and by changing up the colors some you could use it for a male birthday.

Well, the Giants are on so it's time for me to go. See, they're playing the Dodgers and since I'm am originally from LA, I gotta watch. Although, I have to say, I have been converted to a Giants fan...never thought I'd see the day that I'd go to the other side!! lol I hope you have a good weekend and I thank you for stopping by.
