New Year's Resolutions?

Hey everyone! Can't believe how long it's been since I posted. If anyone remembers my last post, which was Christmas Eve, I mentioned that one of my New Year's Resolutions was going to be posting more...that worked out well for me, wouldn't you say?? lol  As usual life has gotten so busy and something had to give, unfortunately my poor blog took the hit again. So sad.....

Family has definitely taken up a huge portion of my crafting time. DD #1 is now 8 months along in her pregnancy. We had a gender revealing party in late December and found out it's going to be a boy!! Really excited about that because we have been a family of girls for such a long time. When the cake was cut open, I'm not sure who was smiling more my SIL or DH!! lol

DD#2 is still living in Vegas, miss her so very much! But she's doing well. She works for Zappos.com and is enjoying the "big city" living. But I know that it bothers her more than she lets on that she's so far from her family.

DD #3 has had some bad times in her life, but we are celebrating her 120th day of sobriety. It has been quite the struggle for our family, and if anyone knows anything about addiction, it definitely touches EVERYONE in the family. But she has finally taken the steps to turn her life around and we couldn't be prouder!! It's amazing how many families deal with this every day, the struggle is so hard to deal with, but by the grace of God, we have come to the other side. I know He is definitely responsible for this and praise Him every day!!

I've been trying to get my Stampin' Up! business going so that I can retire from current job with the state and go full time with SU! I have consistently had a workshop each month and trying to hold some kind of class at least once a month. Here are the latest cards we did Friday at our March workshop.

This card used Sale-A-Bration items, Trust God and The Best of 25 Years stamp sets.We did the chalkboard technique and the new chalk markers. Also used the Petite Petals stamp and punch.

This card used the scalloped embossing folder, new scalloped tag topper punch, Peaceful Petals stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Basic Jewels, and Candy Dots. I cased this one from a fellow demonstrator with some tweaking to change it up.

Here is another card I cased from a demonstrator that we created in our previous workshop. Thank goodness for casing, because it sure makes it my life easier when creating cards for my workshops. We used the Happy Watercolor paper and stamp set for this card.

So you see? I've kind of had a full plate lately....but I guess that's what we call life. Before I sign off this evening, I did want to say that today would have been my sweet Mama's 81st birthday. She's been gone 8 months...a little coincidental that she passed and DD #1 gets pregnant?? Nope, not in my book! He's got a plan!!  ;)

I thank you for stopping by even though I've been gone so long. I really will try to post more often. Take care and have a great evening!
