Thinking of You

Hey everyone, can you believe I'm back with another post? :) Before I go any farther with my post, I just want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been affected by the bad weather the last few days, and especially all the families that lost loved ones today. It's hard to imagine the devastation, but know that you are all being lifted in prayer.

My post for today is a card I made for another challenge, this time over at Fab Friday. This challenge was to make a project using the colors, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, and Soft Suede. Again I wanted to use some retiring product and thought the Thinking of You single stamp was perfect, as was the Poetry Print Designer Series Paper which has all the challenge colors!

I made a Z fold card, which is one of my favorites. and cutting out the stamp with the Window Frames  Framelits made it even easier for the flap. I used dimensionals to each layer of the stamp gave it even more depth. I used a circle die in my stash to cut out that portion of the stamp since I could never cut it out that perfect by hand. And of course I just had to add some bling! ;)
Here is the inside of the card following the same pattern. I thought the sentiment from the Blessings From Heaven was perfect for the inside. I hope you like the card and that you'll stop over at Fab Friday to see all the cute projects over there. Have a great evening, and I thank you for stopping by.

A Flourishing Happy Birthday

Good evening everyone! I hope you've had a good weekend. I was able to get in my room and actually play, so mine has been great! I made this card for a challenge over at Dynamic Duos. This is the first time I've played in their challenges, but then it's been a long time since I've played in any challenges. ;)  This week's challenge is to make a project using the colors Basic Black and Pacific Point. I think black and blue is always a striking combination so I just had to play along. I wanted to use some retiring items and the sentiment stamp, from Made for You, is one of them. I really, really love this font and wish SU! had more sets with it. The ribbon was retired one or two years ago too.

I left the inside blank so that when I give this to someone I can personalize it further. Here's a list of the supplies used for this card:

All supplies from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Whisper White, Basic Black and Pacific Point cardstock
Basic Black and Pacific Point inks
Flowering Flourishes and Made for You stamp sets
Black satin ribbon
Basic Jewels
Spellbinders die

If you have a chance, head over to Dynamic Duos and check out the cute projects and add your inspiration to the challenge. I hope you have a good evening, and I thank you for stopping by.

I'm Back And With Another New Look!

Hi everyone, I'm finally back!! I decided that with all the things going on in my life I needed to step back and regroup. It was a much needed break. For Mother's Day my DD #2 redid my blog and since things have settled down some, I thought it's time to come back. I mentioned to her quite a few months ago that my blog needed a makeover to show that I'm a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, and I think she nailed it! I have missed everyone so much! It's amazing how you realize what is important and how much the little things mean when you have stuff going on in life, and even though I haven't been around, I realized just how much this means to me. So hopefully I can post regularly again, at least that's my plan. :)

So for my first post back, I wanted to share a card my SU! ladies did last night at our club meeting and a card we did at one of my technique classes a couple of weeks ago. The Thanks a ton! card is from our club meeting last night. I saw this on someone's blog, unfortunately I can't remember her name, but I think I tweaked it a little bit. This was created using the Oh Whale goodies in the Spring Catalog which will be ending at the end of the month. Of course, with a whale this cute you have to use googly eyes! And don't you just love the cloud embossing? I think distressing it a little with ink really makes the clouds pop.

This card was part of our technique class using the faux chalk board technique. We used some Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper and ribbon and the stamp is one of the single stamps offered. Didn't it turn out cute? The girls enjoyed this class as much as I did teaching it. It's amazing what a little embossing powder and ink can make!

I hope you all are well and are enjoying your weekend. Thank you so much for popping by even though I haven't been around. I did visit a lot of you on my break and just loved all the creative projects you have been posting. Made me realize how much I love the paper crafting world! Have a great evening too, and I'll be back soon. Take care!

Sunday Evening

Hello everyone, so sorry I've been gone for so long. Between life, family, and computer issues, I just haven't been in the mood to post. In fact, there have been times I have even thought about giving up my blog. Even though I haven't posted though, I have been visiting others, that is when my computer was working. Technology can drive you right out of your mind at times! ;)

So enough about that...wanted to post some cards. Here's the the Valentine's card I gave DH. I know men really aren't in to frilly cards and I really hadn't intended this to be frilly, but hey, I love how it turned out! All supplies were from SU!
DD #2 had a birthday on the 12th and she's a HUGE Giants fan. She went down to SF for the parade after the World Series and is going to their spring training game in AZ to see them play the Dodgers...lucky girl!!
And finally, here's one of the cards my SU! girls made at January workshop using items from the new Spring Catalog. The girls loved the new pinwheel die.

Thank you for stopping by, and hopefully I'll be able to post a little more often. Have a fantastic week!

The Evening After

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, I've been so busy with stuff at home and work that by the time I sit down at night I don't feel like doing anything. And on top of it, I had computer problems. grrr So how was your Superbowl weekend? Did you watch the game? We had a small party with lots of food and while the boys watched the game, DD #1 and I played in my room. It was a good day, except our team lost. :( Oh well, there's always next year. As you can see Chloe was dressed in her 49er finest. lol DH has a buddy who bought one for his Pom, and of course we had to have one too!!! She sported her jersey most of the day and enjoyed all the attention for it as well.

I also wanted to share the cards we made at the last workshop. We used a lot of the new items from the Spring Catalog and some from last years as well. It was a busy night, had 14 ladies here! Quite the crowd, but everyone had a good time.
Well, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and that you have a fantastic week. Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Afternoon

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!! Hope your day is going well, as it should since it's the beginning of the weekend!!! Woo Hoo!!! Tonight is date night, or should I say groupie/roadie night. lol DH's band is playing at a local bar and grill. It's always fun, but even more so tonight since so many of our friends are coming to celebrate his birthday. He doesn't know we're planning a little party besides just enjoying good music and food. Should be fun!

I also wanted to share some Valentine treats I made using the Valentine Treat Bundle and a stamp and framelit from the Hearts a Flutter Bundle in the new Spring Catalog. The treat bundle is good through January 21 and it includes 50 1" by 8" treat bags and the new Happy Valentine's Day single stamp that coordinates with the full size heart punch. I used the new Pool Party embossing powder on the stamp which I thought made the heart pop and broke up the pink and colors.Well, I should be going since I need to get "dolled up" for the evening. I hope you have a great evening and weekend, and I thank you for stopping by!

Monday Evening

Hello everyone, happy Monday evening!! So here it is the 14th and I haven't posted once in the New Year. That's bad!! So much for New Year's Resolutions!!! ;) Back to the 14th, so much going on. First and foremost is my oldest baby girl's 32nd birthday! Happy Birthday Missy!! It's hard to imagine she's in her 30's when I KNOW I'm only 29!! ha! That's how I feel in my mind any way, the body however, reminds that I'm way past that!! lol And that's not the only birthday this week....DH has one on Thursday. Here's the cards I made them.

My daughter loves peacocks and I met my husband at the roller skating rink. We were just talking about it the other day laughing that if we tried to skate today, we'd probably fall and break a hip! lol Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a nice evening.

Happy New Year's Eve!!!

Can you believe it's New Years already? So hard to believe! I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for all the support, visits, and fun comments of the past year. I know I don't get a chance to post as often as I'd like, but I wanted everyone to know how much you all mean to me! I also wanted to post a quick New Years card I made and sent out to some of my crafty girl friends. Just a simple card, but I thought it was kind of festive. Also, I want to wish you and yours a very Happy and prosperous New Year to you all and thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to visit me. Stay safe and enjoy your day!

Last Sunday of 2012

How was your last Sunday of the year? Mine was pretty good, did some grocery shopping, crafting, and spent time with DD #2. She was gone for Christmas so this was good to see her. Last night while I was checking e-mails and blogs, I found that my friend Diana at DL Art has a couple of challenges getting ready to end this week. So today while I was in my room, I thought I'd make a quick card for one of them. I chose the Thankful Thursday Challenge which was called for an ornament and ribbon. I know, Christmas is over, but I thought, hey, what better way to get started on next year's cards, right?? ;) Hopefully I can keep this up and maybe make one a week...sounds like a pretty good resolution to me! I hope you have a good evening, and I thank you for stopping by.

All supplies from SU! except ribbon which was from my stash.

Sunday Evening

Hello everyone. I wanted to share some cards, bags, and tags that we made last Saturday at our December play date. Instead of a monthly workshop we opted for a play date where the girls could work on their current project or on a bundle of cards, bags, and tags. We had a blast! We decided to have a potluck lunch, which is always yummy, and then since it was my birthday the following day, they surprised me with balloons and a decadent chocolate cheesecake. Love my girlfriends!!!

This is the first bag we did, which I CASED from a fellow demo.

Matching card.

Second card we made.

Gift bag with jingle bells.

 Third card with matching bag

And the last gift bag we made.

Well I hope you had a good weekend and I thank you for stopping by. Have a great week!

Sunday Morning

Good morning everyone. What a week its been. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Newtown. I cannot imagine the incredible pain they are in right now. One of my fellow demonstrators shared the address of the school for those that want to send cards. I know it's a small thing, but we can show our support to so many by sending a simple card. The address is: Sandy Hook Elementary School 12 Dickenson Drive Newtown, CT 06482.

Happy December!

Wow! I can't believe it's December already! I took 2 weeks of vacation from work to enjoy Thanksgiving and get everything and everyone in the house ready for Christmas. Did I accomplish that? Yeah right! We did enjoy Thanksgiving, but the rest of the time things just came up. :( And, I caught a cold on top of it!! So, I've been meaning to share some pics of our new little furbaby, so figured now was a good time.
This is Chloe. She's a 7 month old Pomeranian, but there's definitely some Chihuahua in there somewhere. lol  She's all of 4 lbs. and according to the vet, won't get any bigger. With that in mind, we had her spayed this last Tuesday, so that kept me pretty busy. My youngest daughter got her when she was only 7 weeks old and just wasn't prepared for the needs of a baby. So guess who got her?? ;)
Here she is with her "cone of shame". She's so tiny they had to use a cone that is made for cats. Over all though, she's doing well. The 1 stitch (that shows you how small she is!!) from the incision is due to come out on Friday.

Needless to say, the bows didn't last long! lol This was taken the day before Thanksgiving. She is a little pistol though and really  makes me laugh. Well,  that's it for tonight. I know there will be more pictures of her in the future. I hope you have a good week, and I thank you for stopping by.

Gobble 'til You Wobble!!

Hey everyone! Just a quick post to wish everyone in blog-land a Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you all enjoy lots of good food, good friends and most of all, good family!!! Here's a quick card I made using my Cricut and scraps from my stash. Haven't played much with my Cricut lately, so I thought I'd dust her off! Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Week!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving week!! I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks woo hoo!! Super excited!! I know most people think I'm crazy to want to stay home for my vacation, but I've got A LOT planned. First, today is a play day with my DD #1 who is also on vacation. We're going to be scrappin' the day away!! What better way to start your vacation?? Then of course getting ready for Thanksgiving, which is here at my house. (as usual) :p I'm planning on getting all my baking done next week, and since I've been Christmas shopping since July, get everything wrapped and under the tree by the time I go back to work. That's the plan....now let's see if I can execute it!! lol

So with Thanksgiving only a couple of days away, I wanted to share a card. I used some of the left overs from one of my workshops and changed it up a little using a different stamp and adding some glitter.
And don't forget that today is the beginning of Stampin' Up's Online Extravaganza. There are selected items that are 20-50% off. The sale is for 10 days and the first (today) and last day there are special items that are only sale for only 24 hrs. You can visit my online store here and check it out. Of course I have already put my order in...can't pass up a good sale!! ;)

Well DD just showed up so it's time to go play. I want to thank you for stopping by and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! Remember to "gobble 'til you wobble' and enjoy this time with family and friends!!

My Favorite Veteran

Hello everyone. I apologize it's been so long since my last post. It's been so crazy around here and I know it's just going to get more hectic with the holidays coming. Speaking of which, here are the cards my ladies made Friday night at our workshop. We had a full house here with plenty of laughs...great girl's night that's for sure.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of our vets, past and present, for their service and to post a picture of my favorite vet. This is my dad at about age 18. What a cutie!! ;)  Four years ago today he went home to Heaven, so this day has extra meaning for me and my family. It was fitting that he passed on Veterans Day as he was the most patriotic man I have ever known. There anything he wouldn't do for his country and he served it well. Take a moment to remember all who have, who are, or who will serve this country so that we have our freedom, for freedom isn't free!

I hope you have a great evening, and as always, thank you for stopping by.

Sunday Evening

Hello everyone. Hope your weekend has been a good one. Have to say my thoughts and prayers are with everyone on the east coast preparing for the storm. If any of you are in the path of Sandy, please be safe!

Just wanted to share another card from our workshop last week. I also wanted to remind everyone too, about the sale tomorrow at Stampin' Up! Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by.

Did Someone Say Sale???

Happy Saturday everyone!! How's your weekend going so far? Have you heard the news? Stampin' Up! is having a sale!! From what I understand, in the almost 25 years that SU! has been in business, they have never had a sale like this!! How exciting is that??? On Monday, October 29th, nearly every stamp from SU! will be on sale for 15% off for one day only. This Sell-a-Stamp Spooktacular includes all single and stamp sets except for hostess sets, bundled stamps sets, and digital brush sets. So how can you take advantage of this sale??? Well, one way is you can purchase your stamps from my website here and have your items shipped to you direct. Another way is to call, text, or e-mail me your order and I can submit the order for you. Either way, don't miss this opportunity to pick up those stamps you've had on your wish list!!! Remember, one day only on Monday, October 29th! Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday Already??

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's Thursday already! This week, no, this whole month is just flying by. I know,  in just a couple of weeks it's Halloween, then Thanksgiving, and....never mind. I don't want to even go there yet. ;) But I guess since I've been working on some holiday cards I already am going there! lol I wanted to share one of the cards that my ladies will be making tomorrow night at our monthly workshop. October's SU! promotion includes the ornament bundle (stamp and die set), designer paper, and  the paper piercing pack.  It really is an adorable set and definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit. I really liked the simplicity of this card, even though there's a lot of elements to it. I think the ladies are going to have fun with this one. I hope you have a great evening and I thank you for stopping by!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla
DSP: Candlelight Christmas Specialty
Festive Paper Piercing Pack

Happy World Card Making Day!!!!

Hello everyone!! How is your Saturday going? Are you going to be crafting today in celebration of World Card Making Day? I know I am. Got my chores done early and have a pot roast in the slow cooker so I don't have to worry about cooking, and the rest of the day will be spent in my favorite room in the whole world!!! lol DH says it's a good thing I don't have a fridge in there, cuz he'd never see me!! Little does he know, it's on my list of things to get!!! hehe So, in honor of WCMD I'm sharing this card I made for one of my customers. I used the retired Totally Tess stamp set from SU!, which I think is perfect for a demonstrator. I'm keeping this short so I can go play too, so much to do, so little time!! lol Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!!!
