Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, the holiday season is upon us. All the hustle and bustle, the shopping, the cooking, baking, entertaining, cooler weather....I LOVE IT!!! I love the family time, there never seems to be enough of that now that the kids are all on their own. Oh well, I will cherish every minute I get. Hoping to start my Christmas cards soon, which is always fun. Here's a Thanksgiving card for everyone, hope you all like it! Remember, life is short, eat desert first! :) Oh, and be sure to "gobble til you wobble"!

A Think Pink Card

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a card I made for one of the blogs I follow. My Pink Stamper is having a "Think Pink Week" and posted an address of a lady that lives in Rocklin who is going through treatment for breast cancer. Well, I just had to jump on that band wagon since she lives so close! This card was made with all scraps. Hope you enjoy it.

Happy Rainy Sunday!

Hello all! Hope everyone's Sunday is going well. Have been enjoying a nice rainy Sunday at home. I so love the rain, but only when I get to stay home! :) This time of year makes for the best baking/cooking weather. Have a nice pot of vegetable beef soup simmering, made 2 batches of cookies, and a loaf of bread is baking in the bread machine. MMMM! Here's a quick card I whipped up after all that fun in the kitchen. Enjoy and thanks for looking!

Fall is here!

Hello and happy fall!!! It was a beautiful fall day today and I spent most of it in the kitchen baking. I absolutely love fall!! And apparently so do my girls, especially since they commented on how much mom bakes this time of year and how much they like whatever I make. Besides the baking I was able to play in my room a little bit. Working on a scrapbook of our trip in September up the Oregon Coast. Also made some cards yesterday. Have really enjoyed  making Halloween cards and even got one done for Thanksgiving. Well, hope everyone has a good week. Enjoy my Halloween card!

Happy Saturday!

Hello! Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Had fun in my room today making cards and started our 25th Anniversary trip scrapbook album. Hopefully I'll get it done before we celebrate 26!! :) Here's a card that I made for a challenge over at the My Pink Stamper blog. I used my Doodle Charms cartridge for the cute snowman and the cute little face stamp is from Peachykeen Stamps. Love their face stamps. Also used my Cuttlebug on the pink cardstock, thought the snowflakes went well with the patterned paper. Well, better hurry and post my card over there. Have a great rest of your day!

Busy Day!

Happy Friday! I was really busy on my Furlough Friday. Besides doing the usual laundry, etc. I was able to get 3 cards made. 2 are birthday cards and one was a Halloween card. One of the cards is for Corey's boyfriend whose birthday is tomorrow and one is for my Sissy's hubby, Brian. I'm thinking about submitting one of the birthday cards to a website that is asking for submissions for design team members. That would be so cool to be chosen! Well, we'll see. Here's one of the birthday cards. Hope you like it!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hello! Hope everyone had a great Saturday. I had plans to play in my room today and celebrate today, but hadd a lot of interruptions. Well, at least I was able to make 1 card today, so all was not lost! I used my new Simply Charmed cartridge that I just received Wednesday in the mail. What a really cute cartridge! The patterned paper was from K & Company mat stack, cardstock is Recollection from Michael's, and the stamp set is from My Pink Stamper. Her stamps are great! Hope you like the card and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I know I will!

I'm Baaaacccckkkkk!!!!

Well it's been a while since I posted and I'm sure everyone thought Iwas giving up on this....well, not! It's been a busy few weeks around here with the end of summer and the beginning of my favorite time of year, FALL!! Yippee!! But you'd never know that tomorrow is October 1st since it's been in the 100's here! I know it will turn around soon, and I really can't wait for it to cool off. Anyhow....one of the best parts of the last few weeks is Larry and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary! And they said it wouldn't last, ha! So to keep up with the celebration, here's the card I made him. Hope you like it!

Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Trying to get my latest cards and layouts uploaded in my computer. I really need to keep up on that so it doesn't take me so long. Here's a card I made for one of my BFF's. I finally figured out how to use my Gypsy and was able to "hide" the face so that I could use the really cute face stamps from Peachy Keen. Hope you like it! I'm hoping I can post the picture under this post. My daughter Kelly is trying to help me become more computer literate, especially since she is taking graphic design courses in school. Of course it's all easy for her, me...not so much. Keep your fingers crossed! ;)

We're off to the lake this morning, should be alot of fun. Especially nice since it's going to be hot. Well hope everyone has a good day!

Trying to get the hang of this.

Well, guess it's going to take awhile to get the hang of this blog thing. I've been waiting for my webmaster (my daughter Kelly) to show me the ropes on how to post my pictures a little easier, so I've held off posting. Guess I need to play a little more with this. Needless to say, I'm not very computer savvy! lol I know just enough to be dangerous!  :)

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July and that you're enjoying your summer, heat and all. The summers here in Redding are pretty hot, so it's perfect to either go out to the pool or lake, or better yet....stay inside and scrap!!! WOO HOO! Larry says it's a good thing I work, otherwise I'd never leave the house, which you know means I'd never leave my room!!

Here's a card I made for a lady that was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. Another blog I follow posted the info (with her permission of course) with her address so that everyone could send her a pink card. Hope you like it.

Hope everyone is having a good 4th of July! So far so good. Yesterday we had a birthday in the house, daughter number 3, Corey, turned 23. Had a nice evening with her and Chris. Went to a new restaurant in town and had a fabulous dinner. And today we started off by going to the movies and seeing Eclipse. Yes, I'm a Twilighter! Gotta love guys that sparkle!! lol Here's a picture of Corey's card I made her, the little princess. Have a great rest of the weekend!

I had a visitor!

Hi! It's been a busy week, but the holiday weekend is almost here, and my baby #3 is going to be 23 on Saturday!! Doesn't seem possible. While out on the back deck this afternoon I noticed I had a visitor. A bright orange dragon fly landed on a shepherd's hook near our pond. I really didn't think I could get a picture of it, but voila! I did! It's the little things in life that make you smile, and he did just that! Have a good Friday!

Nice Weekend

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It's been a hot one here, a nice toasty 106 degrees! Summer is finally here. Yesterday was a fun day with some girlfriends at an all day crop. Here's a picture of the project I worked on. It's a gift box with a dozen small note cards for one of my bffs. I just love it, and if I can't part with it I can use it since both our names start with an L!! :) Have a great week and keep cool!

Another fun day in the neighborhood!!

Hope everyone had a good Thursday! Summer is definitely here, low 90's today and tomorrow and triple digits by the weekend. Yuck! Luckily I'm not going to be out in it much. Saturday the girls from the monthly card workshop and I will be hanging out in our local scrapbook store playing with paper. My kind of day! A 12 hour crop with lots of fun, food, and friends!! Can't wait!! And Sunday we'll probably go to the lake. Not bad plans for a weekend! Too bad our Furlough Fridays are done (at least for now), cuz I'm thinking that would have been a great start! Well, hope everyone has a great Friday!
