Happy Thursday!

Hello everyone, how's your week going? Mine was a week of Mondays, but that's ok, I survived and my weekend begins! I wanted to share the other 2 projects earlier, but you know how "Mondays" can be!
So, since Halloween is coming, you know I had to make something with orange/black. Don't you just love the spooky crow? It doesn't show well, but I used the Cherry Cobbler Dazzles for his eye as well as the gate. This stamp set, Toxic Treats, is from the Holiday Catalog. The background is made with the Distressed Dots stamp. I think when I created all three projects I was in a polka dot mood, because each one had dots of some sort. I also used the Window Frames die for the stamp and a trip of the new Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.
Here's the 3rd project, see the embossed mat? Love the dots!! We dry embossed with white embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock using the Field Flowers stamps. Then sponged on some Baja Breeze ink. Had to the pearls for bling! The girls definitely enjoyed making these cards. Well, I hope you have a great rest of your evening and that you get to do something crafty this weekend! Thank you for stopping by!!

Treats for Boo!

Hello everyone! How's your weekend going? I wanted to share one of the projects from my workshop I held last night. We had a great time last night. I had planned on taking pictures, but forgot...can't  believe that, had the camera out and ready and never even thought about it! :( Oh well. So here's one of the projects we made last night and I'm going to enter it into my friend Diana's Thankful Thursday Challenge. It's been awhile since I've entered and since we made an owl, I thought it was perfect.
I saw this create by another demonstrator and knew I had to make it. There are so many demonstrators that create punch art and I thought this was an easy pattern try for the first time. It's made using the Top Note Die. I also used The mini scalloped punch from the Holiday Catalog and  stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. Even the beak was created with a punch. The girls had a blast making these too. In this picture I filled the gift bag with yogurt covered pretzels, but the girls had a bag of Halloween candy to pick from. I  will post the other 2 projects that they made later. Thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of your evening.

Sunday Afternoon and a New Challenge Blog

Hello hello!!! How's your weekend been so far? Mine has been productive once again. Actually got into my scrap room and played, a lot! :) I have a workshop coming up on Friday and I got all 3 of my projects prepped and ready to go. They turned out sooooo cute!! I will definitely post pictures of them soon. But in the mean time, I found a new challenge blog that has their first challenge going on right now. It's called Black Tie Friday. They have some talented ladies that have posted some cute projects for their first challenge. I missed not playing along in challenges since I've become a Stampin' Up demonstrator, but only because I don't have more hours in a day...see, that work thing just gets in the way!! lol ;) So, for the first challenge it's the 3 B's, black base, black ribbon, and a butterfly. And it seems that I had a polka dot thing going on too. lol But I really like how it turned out.

I thought the card needed a pop of color, so I added the blue butterfly and ink.

Here's the inside of the card. I know most people don't show the inside, but I like to share it when I have a chance. Well, I thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great evening, and when you have a chance, stop by Black Tie Friday and link up your creation!

Never Forget!

Good morning all! Just a quick post. I know I posted this card last year, but I had to post it again. I think of Alan Jackson's song "Where Were You?" which is the perfect tribute song. The lyrics are spot on and the video brings you to tears. I hope that during your busy day today you take a moment to remember. Have a blessed day my friends.

End of the Weekend

Hello everyone! Here we are at the end of another weekend. They go by so fast, don't they?  DD#2 saw a poster that had the phrase "How come Friday is so far away from Monday, and Monday is so close to Friday?" It really made me giggle since I feel the same way. It's been a very fun and productive weekend for me. Enjoyed our anniversary on Friday, got some chores done, canned some tomatoes and made some salsa, and got my house decorated for fall. Phew, I'm tired!!  :) The only thing I didn't get to do was craft, but that's ok, I'll get in there soon. Well, since our anniversary has passed I can share the card I made for DH.

I bought him a smoker for his anniversary present and thought this card worked perfectly. I've been waiting to make a masculine card so I could try using some embossing on plumber's tape. One of my ladies brought it to the crop we had and gave me some. It works great and the best part, it's already got adhesive on it!! :) Talk about re-purposing!! lol She used it with a snowflake embossing folder and it was adorable! Well, I hope you enjoy what's left of your weekend and I thank you for taking a moment and stopping by. Have a great week!

27 years ago today....

Hello everyone! Welcome to the weekend! I have had such a great day today. See, today is our 27th anniversary! woo hoo!! We took a short overnight road trip down to Sacramento. DH was even patient while I browsed through Green Tangerines scrapbook store in  Rocklin. Of course that was after spending over 2 hours at the music store. Ahhh, the life of a groupie!! lol  I thought I'd share a couple of pics from that beautiful day. Now no judging :) I didn't scan these, just took pictures of the original pictures...so lazy, but hey, I was in a hurry!! lol
This is DD #1 who was 4 when we got married. She was such an adorable flower girl, and she had a lot of practice back then. I think she was in at least 3 weddings that year.
Not sure who took this one, but that's my Dad giving Missy a boost so she could see what was happening. Such a cute shot!!
My wonderful parents and of course, the bride! lol
This is one of my favorites....I'm such a Daddy's girl!!
The new family!! Just a few pics of the happiest day of my life. Thank you for stopping by and letting me share some of my memories. I hope you have a great weekend!

Back to the grind....

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed mine. Got some housework done, did some cooking, spent time with DH and even got some scrapping done! woo hoo! Lately it seems that when I'm in there I'm prepping for my next workshop, not a bad thing mind you, but I miss the "for fun" type playing some times. So since I didn't take any photos of the pages I scrapped, I thought I'd share the cards we made at my last workshop.
This card was made using the Perfectly Preserved Bundle, Itty Bitty Framelits, Chevron Embossing Folder, Designer Buttons, Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry card stock, and Designer Series Paper Summer Smooches.
This card was made using some of the new In Color Midnight Muse Card stock, ink, and ribbon, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Modern Label and Elegant Butterfly punchs, and the new Papillon Potpourri stamp set. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tine Wishes stamp set.

And the third card was made using Island Indigo card stock, ink, and bakers twine, the lighter ink is Pool Party, the stamp sets are Flowering Flouirshes and Fabulous Phrases, and the button is a new Vintage Faceted Designer button. As you can see, we had a busy night!

Well, I thank you for taking a moment and stopping by for a visit and I hope you have a great week. It's always so hard to get back to the grind after such a great weekend. But on the bright side? It's that much closer to the next weekend!! lol Have a great evening!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hello everyone, how is your weekend going? It's hard to believe that today is September 1 already. This year is just flying by. So I wanted to share the card I made for my sister's birthday, which is tomorrow. She called earlier to say she received it, and loved it of course (lol) so it's safe for me to share! I tried to do something different and I think I accomplished that with this card. I really enjoyed making it and I'm hoping that I can broaden my style some by making more like this. I know this is short, but I wanted to get this posted before the weekend is over. :) Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great holiday weekend!
