Wacky Wednesday #27 - Farm Theme challenge

Hello, hope anyone is enjoying their Sunday afternoon. I have been playing in my room and finished this card for the challenge over at More Than Favors. I have had the Country Life Cricut cartridge for a while and haven't had a chance to use, so this was the perfect excuse. The cardstock is from Recollection, pp from DCWV Nana's Kitchen stack, ribbon from Michael's, stamp sentiment from Scrappy Moms stamps, and the white stitching was done using my Sakura Gelly Roll pen. Hope you like it and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Thanks for stopping by!

Fishing you a Happy Birthday

Hello again! Here's my card I made for 2 challenges. The first challenge is for Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday challenge, which was to create a project using the Create a Critter cartridge. This has got to be my favorite cartridge. The second challenge is over at Celebrate the Occasion blog which was to create something to celebrate the "Anything Goes Birthday". The card I created is using the adorable seal on Create a Critter. I just love his little face!!! I made another square card, after I cut the seal so I had to go with a 6 x 6 card so he would fit. The pp on the background is from Hot Off the Press Dots & Stripes paper pack. The pp on the seals stand is from DCWV dots, stripes, & plaids matstack. The cardstock is from Recollection. I want to try some of Papertrey Ink so hopefully I will use up my Recollection stash. The sentiment stamp was a combination of Scrappy Moms Stamps, and the pattern stamp on the balloon is from Scrappy Cat stamps. After I stamped the balloon I pressed it into my Versamark Watermark pad and then used some of the Utee embossing powder on it. I did it a couple of times to give it glossy finish. I used some yellow Stickles on his hat and my Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the stitching. Have a good rest of  your Saturday and thanks for stopping by!!

Thanks a latte!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. The sun is shining here at last and I know I should be outside doing yard work, but it's still too cold. Guess that means I get to play in my room!! ;) Need to work on a card for a couple of challenges and also work on some layouts from our vacation last September. All fun no matter what you work on, right?!? Any way, here's a card I made for a co-worker and he asked if it was on my blog, so here it is. It was a fun one to make, especially since he loves coffee. The cardstock is Recollections, the patterned paper is from a stack I got at Walmart by Colorbok, Martha Stewart bakers twine, stamp set from Michael's, I think it's by Inkadinkadoo. I am starting to like the square card shape too. Well, enjoy your day (know I will!) and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Presidents Day!

Where did this weekend go? I was lucky enough to have 4 days off and they FLEW by! Oh well, hope everyone has had a good holiday weekend. I've been trying to get some challenges done with one card, but just couldn't make it happen, so I have 3 cards to post. The first one is for Miss Emma's Throwback Thursday using the  Walk In My Garden cartridge. I cut the sunflowers out since they are one my favorite flowers. I used the DCWV Dots, Stripes, & Plaids matstack, Recollection cardstock, American Crafts ribbon, sentiment stamp from Pink by Design, Peachykeen Wild Eyed Kids and Dolly Dumplins face stamps, and the stitching was done with one of my Marvy markers. The second card is for Miss Mary over at Cardz TV and her spring challenge. I used my 3 Birds Straight from the Nest cartridge, DCWV pattern paper, Recollection cardstock, ribbon from Michael's, I rock glam rocks, sentiment stamp from My Pink Stamper stamps, googly eyes and stitching done with my Signo Uniball pen. The button is from my stash and I used Martha Stewart's bakers twine to tie the little bow on it. The third card is for a blog challenge over at Two Scraptastic Gals and their Cricut Cartridge Chaos # 7 challenge using the Paisley cartridge. I just love the princess cat on this cartridge. I used Peachykeen Everyday Character face stamps, Stickles for her jewels, sentiment stamp from Pink by Design, Recollection cardstock, pattern paper was a scrap from Hot Off the Press, and stitching using my Signo Uniball pen. Well I hope you like my cards and that you have a fantastic week!

You're the Bee's Knees card

Hello everyone. Hope you had a good weekend because I sure did. Got to spend the day with DH on Friday, which is always fun. We went to lunch and just enjoyed each others company hanging out. Played some in my room on Saturday, getting DH's Valentine present finished and the usual laundry, etc. Had DD number one over for dinner since her DH was getting ready for his show. He's in a band too, but the music is not really my style, which makes me feel really old since it's not good old fashioned rock n roll!! lol  She gave me a little valentine gift, some cute dollar stamps from M's and the ribbon on this thank you card. She is always giving cute little gifts to everyone. I used Create a Critter for the bee, Recollection card stock, Stickles, the cute ribbon from M's, the sentiment stamp is from Scrappy Moms stamps. The strip of pattern paper is a little piece that was in my scraps and I can't remember who it's by as was the metallic paper I used on his wings. I did the stitching with my Uniball Signo pen and the for the flight pattern I used one of my markers from M's. I used the Fiskar's scalloped border punch too. I hope you like the card as much as I do, I really like the colors on it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a good week.

Finally!!

I've been waiting to share this card with you, and now that we just got back from dinner with my now 25 year old daughter I can post it. She is not the girly girl type, but I still thought this was perfect for her because when she dresses up to go out, she is beautiful (not that she isn't always beautiful, but you know what I mean! lol). I enjoyed making this one. I used my Forever Young cartridge, DCWV Hippie Chic matstack, Recollection card stock, Pink by Design sentiment stamp, and of course Stickles. I cut the scalloped oval with my Nestabilities. Hope you like it as much as she did. Thanks for stopping by!!

1 Card, 2 Challenges

All day at work today I was thinking about these 2 challenges and what kind of cards I was going to make. I'm now on a new schedule that puts me home later than I'm used to, so I didn't have a lot of time to play. Sooooo, after seeing so many blogs where the ladies made 1 card for multiple challenges, I thought, why not? The 2 challenges were for My Pink Stamper and Scrappy Moms. My Pink Stamper's challenge was to make something that makes you happy and Scrappy Moms' challenge was to use the Simply Charmed cartridge. Well, I don't know about you, but ice cream makes me pretty happy!  :) That being the case, the ice cream cone was a pretty good choice!! The card is from Recollection (I have a ton of it, can you tell??)  the patterned paper is from DCWV Sweets matstack, the face stamp is from Peachy Keen's Every Day Character set and I used my Pebbles, Inc chalks to highlight the cheeks. I also used my Martha Stewart's loopy border punch. The ribbon is from Michael's and the stitching on the cone was made with my Uniball Signo pen. The sentiment stamp is from Scrappy Moms stamps.  Hope you like the card, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Wow! 2 posts in one day, I'm on a roll!! lol First of all, CONGRATULATIONS GREEN BAY!!! So proud of Aaron Rodgers, a somewhat local boy!!! He went to junior college in Chico, the town my middle daughter goes to school. It's so cool to have the MVP of the game growing up so close!! Thought I'd be in my room playing the whole day, but couldn't resist sitting with DH and watching the game. Gave me time to post my lengthy post on the blogger award, which I still can't believe I was given!! Ok, back to my card. I made this for the Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time with Miss Emma. She posts such cute projects! You definitely need to stop by her site and check it out. I made this card using the Just Because cartridge for the peach. The card stock is from Recollection, pp from DCWV, ribbon from Michaels, label punch from Stampin' Up, sentiment stamp from My Pink Stamper, the face stamp from Peachy Keen, and of course, Stickles!! I also used some Clearsnap chalk ink on the edge of the label and some Pebbles, Ink chalk on the peach and leaves to give it some color. Hope you like it, and as always, thanks for stopping by!!

It's only Tuesday?!?

Ok, so I know it's only Tuesday, but it feels like it should be Friday already!! Could be wishful thinking on my part! lol But I was able to get in my room and play for a little while and try out my new set of Scrappy Moms Stamps. I just got the Love Notes set yesterday and really wanted to make a card with them. This card was made with Recollection card stock, DCWV Be Mine pattern paper, some flowers that I've had forever, I think they're from Imaginese? but can't really remember. The sparkly brad is from We R Memory Keepers and the tulle is from some scrapbooking goodies I got in the mail. Another reason I keep every little piece of ribbon or possible future embellishment on every day items. Hope your Tuesday has been a good one and thanks again for stopping by!
