Sunday Evening

Hey everyone, have a good weekend? They sure seem to fly by, don't they? I spent NSD in my craft room, but not scrapping as I wanted to...I was busy purging old items to make room for my goodies from the new catalog. I really need to do that more often, I know my DD #2 is excited when I do since most of the purged items go to her. :)

So today I was actually able to play a little in my room. I needed to make a retirement card for a coworker and a Mother's Day card for my MIL. This is going to be a tough Mother's Day for me, as it is the first since my mom passed away last July. There have been a lot of firsts this year, and I knew they were coming, so I try to deal with them as best I can.

I cased this card from one of the swap cards I received last week. I would give the demo recognition, but she didn't leave her info in the envelope. Her card was done in black and white which would be good for a wedding card, but I wanted something with more color.

This pictures shows the front of the card when it is opened. It reminds me of a z fold card, but is made with a small panel.

And here is the inside of the card. When I started this card I was going to use some of the non SU! stamps from my stash, and in fact, the one on the front is just that. I still have so many fun things that are non SU! that I just can't bear to part with and seems a shame to not use them once in awhile. Everything else on the card is from SU!, so I think it's ok.  ;)

Hope you like it, and I thank you for stopping by, have a great evening.
