Happy Summer!

Hey everyone! Happy First Day of Summer!! This year seems to be flying by, can't believe it's already summer.

My youngest step-granddaughter just graduated from high school and I wanted to share with you the gift box and card I made for her.

The gift box was made using the Hamburger Box die from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. I saw another demonstrator create one of these and I just had to try it! The die includes the tag that is on top of the hat. I created the tassel with some solid bakers twine in my stash.
Here's the card I made for her using some pattern paper that has the school name printed on it. I purchased it like 5 years ago for scrapping DD#3's school pictures and had saved all the scraps....who knew it would come in handy for my GD? lol See? I NEVER throw anything away!! I saw the owl on a few cards on Pinterest and thought it was adorable. Perfect for this card.
Well, time to go clean my scraproom. I had a workshop last night and was too tired to put everything away....not that any of us ever have a messy craft room, right??;) I hope you have a great first weekend of the summer and I thank you for stopping by my little blog.
